In part 1 of this week’s show, we take down the 2 biggest stories in Overwatch League: Sinatraa’s retirement from professional play and the implosion of the Vancouver Titans roster. First we discuss the retirement announcements from both the San Francisco Shock and Sinatraa himself, and we talk about his stated reasons for leaving Overwatch. We talk about how the state of the game for DPS players majorly contributed to his exit from OWL and set some perspectives straight regarding his management team and the San Francisco Shock. We go on to discuss his future in professional Valorant play, and look at what the league needs to learn from his decision. We also discuss some possible future players looking to exit, and debate what the League needs to do to retain its hitscan player base.

Next, we talk about the fracturing between the Vancouver Titans ownership group and its roster, as all players are reportedly exiting the team. We talk about the storied history of the Runaway roster in APEX and Contenders play and the difference in the Titans’ approach to marketing and management. We go on to discuss the already announced player and coach releases, and also where the other released players may end up playing. Lastly, we discuss what comes next for the Titans as team management must hurriedly sign an entirely new roster before this weekend’s games.
