What a great weekend! From standout performances to huge upsets, we’ve got plenty to cover for this week’s episode. We begin with the announcement of the innaugarual Mash Those Buttons Throwdown, an Overwatch and Apex Legends competition against our podcast brethren from the Dropping Spicy podcast. We go on to cover the recent announcements regarding Contenders production locations and casting talent, as the league is set to begin in the near future.
Next, we recap the festivities from this week’s homestand in Houston, Texas. We recap the scores from each games, including the standout performances and major trends with each team from this weekend. We discuss the steady improvement from the London Spitfire, as well as a notably down weekend from the Toronto Defiant. We also go over this weekend’s major upsets, and discuss what they mean for the involved teams going forward.
