OWL Week 18 (2021)

There’s a ton of news to cover this week both from inside and outside the league. Awards season is coming soon as OWL officially announces this season’s slate of awards, reveals its 10 MVP candidates, and unlocks past seasons’ premium skins to celebrate. Afterwards, we talk about the past week of rumors regarding a delay in Overwatch 2’s release date which some are saying may force OWL into an extended offseason. We discuss the effects that such a big change could have on teams, players, and fans before continuing to follow up on further developments from the Activision Blizzard lawsuit.

Next, we recap all of the action from the final week of regular season competition. We highlight this week’s most importants, highlighting the best plays and strategic decisions from each match. We go on to preview the next week of competition between our final four Countdown Cup teams. We make a case for all 4 squads before making our final predictions for the tournament’s outcome.
