Bren Gets Ethered
We're homestand bound! Ramses & Lobosco catch up on this week's signings, retirements, and reappearances. We also take a look at the Stage 3 playoff picture and the coming Atlanta Homestand festivities....
Stage 3 just keeps getting crazier, and Ramses and Lobosco are here to get you up to speed! For starters, we cover the Los Angeles Valiant’s massive 3-1 upset over the Vancouver Titans. We cover standout performances from FCTFCTN and Kariv, as well as the overall upswing in the Valiant’s level of play. We go on to cover the Florida Mayhem’s upset over the Houston Outlaws, as well as their recent signings of WGS Armament players DPI, Gargoyle, and Karayan, and Coaches Unread and KS1. We also take a second to cover the Toronto Defiant’s trade of Envy to the Shanghai Dragons.
Next, we cover the Dallas Fuel’s recent performance struggles in Stage 3. We cover theories of overcoaching and player frustration, and question the pros and cons of starting certain players. We also discuss the announcement of the Jjonak MVP Zenyatta Skin, what it could mean for casual players, and what player/skin combos could be coming.
Lastly, we run through our weekly meta checkup, and analyze the decline of core GOATS characters and usage increases for certain non GOATS heroes. We talk about what trends are causing these increases, and what they could mean for the rest of Stage 3. We also cover the apparent “confirmation” of 2-2-2 role lock coming to Stage 4 of OWL. We discuss how this could severely hurt GOATS centric teams and boost less viable ones, as well OWL’s “too little too late” approach to the decision. Lastly, we give out this week’s “F’s in the Chat” and read an especially cringe tweet from Toronto Defiant player GODS.
