Alisaunder from the Pylon Show is back to go over some of the many questions she has sent in over the last few months. We start by discussing the forgotten races of Azeroth, including the pygmies, furbolg, and centaurs. We debate a little about the Lost Ones in Swamp of Sorrows and their Warcraft III retconned origins. This leads into a discussion of how Blizzard should redo the original continents (with a suggestion from Nick that classic evolve the story, except that it show what is happening back on Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor and not involve the land masses that we travel to.) Nick and Alisaunder then talk about roleplaying in WoW and how Blizzard forces characters to perform certain actions, whether they would be something your character would do naturally or not. Nick recommends the philosophy that the game quests should rarely be considered canon.

Alisaunder then mentions her idea that Sylvanas could be a dreadlord, and Nick suggests that Blizzard should do a Secret Invasion type expansion, where half the major lore characters turn out to be dreadlords. Alisaunder posits that the Dreadlords are working for the Old Gods and they tricked Sargeras into killing the pantheon and forming the Legion. Nick makes a joke about Thrall that takes him to a dark place.

Finally, they get to Alisaunder’s second question, and they discuss the origins of the celestial beings inside Ulduar, particularly the Tauren and Night Elf statues. Nick speculates that just as the Titans made Earthen and Mogu out of earthly matter, then they would make Celestials out of stars and space matter.

Thanks again to Alisaunder for joining us this week, and thank you for listening to The Tauren & the Goblin! Please send any comments or questions to taurengoblin@mashthosebuttons.com or @taurengoblin on twitter. Come join us!

Nick Zielenkievicz

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.

Katie Grace

Katie is a long time gamer who has fallen in love with multiple genres. She started young by playing Nintendo 64, Spyro, and Blizzard games such as Warcraft II with family, then eventually moved into playing games in both my leisure time and as a occupation. She loves being immersed in different universes and exploring the characters that live in them, as well as just playing games for a good time.
