It's Been a Good Year
Remembering the last year in Overwatch, incoming changes for arcade and leavers, new bugs, bug fixes, and a final show for one of the hosts....
Not much news happening in Overwatch right now, but we managed to pull of a 2+ hour show somehow. We catch up with Bob, who was missing last week, and get his thoughts on the latest character balance, as well as talk about his COW League win the other week. We discuss our Season 5 placement matches, and some of the motivations behind player picks during placements. Jaa was surprised with his placement for sure.
We talk about how Blizzard has found a way to circumvent chinese gambling laws, how DDoS attacks on console are making it more important for console reporting options than ever, and the upcoming Double XP weekend. Our community discussion focuses on improving broadcasting for Overwatch, which manages to spur a heated conversation between Mikey and Jaa on whether or not Blizzard will allow modding tools.
Jarret is Executive Director as well as one of the founding members of Mash Those Buttons. He plays all types of games, but tends to lean more toward FPS, Stealth, and Combat games.
Mikey has been playing fighting games since he could reach the arcade stick and buttons. While not be ever being tournament ready he strives to do better. Loves pure action games and enjoying bonkers jrpgs. He's just you're average gaymer.
Joel and Ellie get some quality bonding time right before Pitts...errr...Kansas City.
The first ever Evo Awards, Mai is finally here, and Capcom Cup XI groups are in.
We check out Kadara, where the Eirochs, Outlaws, and medicinal drugs are plenty. Also, we debate the AI population.
A mostly story-focused episode. No Live Letter here, we'll be talking about that soon!
