There's No Torb in Team
Torb main ban, the latest Oversumo update, some interesting proposed changes to competitive, and more....
Bob is back from Blizzcon 2017 and had a blast. He tells us about his experience, then we dig into what we learned from Blizzcon. Biggest news is of Moria, the newest support character. Initially her game play video made her seem a bit OP, but after having a chance to play her, Jaa only has one main concern. Bob isn’t that big of a fan of her yet, but we’ll see how he feels when she’s out.
We also learned about Blizzard World, the newest map coming to Overwatch in early 2018. Blizzard World puts together all of Blizzard in one map as a theme park. It’s a payload map, which has Jaa a bit disappointed, because he was hoping for a new game mode this year. Oh well. We also got a ton of info on Overwatch League and saw the new spectator system in action. Both Bob and Jaa were impressed. All this and more on this episode of Watchpoint Radio!
Jarret is Executive Director as well as one of the founding members of Mash Those Buttons. He plays all types of games, but tends to lean more toward FPS, Stealth, and Combat games.
IT System Engineer by day, avid gamer by night! Bob has been gaming his entire life and first started standing on a chair playing the arcade version of Super Mario Bros. Now he plays all kinds of games but focuses mainly on Overwatch.
Jaal doesn't want Ryder to kill Akksul, but maybe Ryder has an itchy trigger finger. And by Ryder we mean Nick.
We meet David and his cult, while Ellie tries to keep her and Joel alive.
Evo leaderboards, Evo cost breakdown, new character content from Guilty Gear Strive and Mortal Kombat, plus changes to Capcom Cup 12.
We talk Capcom Cup 11 production, matches, players, and its impact on the competitive scene.
