With a lack of Overwatch news we have the opportunity to talk about who should control balance, and the problems with the current competitive system.
There is some chatter on the forums right now regarding pros controlling balance. Some agree, but many don’t. Who should control the balance? Unlike most competitive games, Overwatch isn’t dominated by its competitive players and has seen most of its success due to its high number of casual players. Does this mean the casuals should be important to balance changes?
It was a bit of a shock that no changes came with Season 9, even though Overwatch’s ranked system definitely needs work. We talk about the various issue affecting competitive and what can be done to fix it.
