Fated Raids and Renown Subs (feat. Crisp and Kurabara)
Nick and Harv are joined by Crisp and Kura to talk more about Fated Raids and Mythic+ and more!...
This week its all about Fated Raids as Nick, Rei, and Eric talk about their experiences in Fated Heroic Castle Nathria and Fated Heroic Sanctum of Domination. Also, Harv is here too!
They begin by talking about the return of Castle Nathria and how prepared everyone should be for the raids. Rei points out that their current guild structure consists of a group that ran Sepulcher of the First Ones but not the older raids, so as a unit they are still congealing on their older raid attempts. Rei talks about making sure everyone is prepared and familiar with the fights and Nick talks about watching some videos to get ready but watching them in the wrong order.
Then they talk about going into Heroic Sanctum of Domination and how they struggled on Ner’zhul and Soulrender. Eric mentions that this is the raid that made him quit WoW for a few months and he is still affected by the raid, although it is different playing as a dps as opposed to a tank. Nick talks about running the later fights on LFR and seeing just how brutal the Painsmith and Sylvanas fights are.
They also talk about how the concept of the fated raids feels, with the extra mechanics serving as both a hindrance and a buff if handled correctly. They talk about whether the three week cycle will allow them to maintain momentum and progression through the various raids. Overall they are optimistic they will complete the Heroic challenge.
Harv, meanwhile, has been enjoying Zangarmarsh in Burning Crusade Classic. Eric points out that was his favorite zone as well.
Finally Rei talks about running mythic+’s and how people have been caught off guard by the older dungeon mechanics.
