On MDI, Hearthstone, and Books
Rei and Eric had fun watching the MDI while Kura was enjoying the questing and Nick is looking forward to some books....
Nick, Rei, Eric, and Kurabara are back this week to calm down after the Chiefs exciting Super Bowl win and talk about all things WoW! First, Rei talks about the struggles when raid members are suspiciously missing raid nights and either giving weak excuses or still logged into the game doing other stuff. She talks about how she had to kick someone out of the guild for not being honest about their participation. She also laments that the crafting window blocks access to the chat window. Then she wonders about how people handle merging different social groups when getting everyone to play together.
Eric talks about how they are getting Heroic Fyrakk on farm now and preparing for the upcoming Fated raids but rerunning older raids. Also, he talks about running mythic+ for aspect crests.
Kurabara admits he didn’t know there was a way to upgrade older crests to newer crests, and Rei mentions the rainbow path to the vendor in the Emerald Dream. He also talks about getting his legendary to drop from Sarkareth, and also how he has been enjoying playing his Death Knight.
Nick points out that due to a technical error, the last episode went up extremely late, so we are extending the drawing for the Sprite Darter Wings xmog until our next episode on 2/26. Please email wowtalk@mash.gg with the subject “I want the xmog!” to enter.
In the news, Steve Danuser appears to no longer be with Blizzard. Holly Longdale posted about how there will not be a PTR for Patch 10.2.6 to keep it a secret. New hero talents were unveiled for The War Within. Love is in the Air was updated and everyone seems to be enjoying the changes. The Enlightened Hearthstone was found in Zereth Mortis. The Magical Murkmorpher and the Twilight Pack are available on the shop, while the Traders Post is offering 500 extra tender this month. You can get Cap’n Crackers with a Twitch Prime account. Season of Discovery Phase 2 is live. Warcraft, Warcraft II, and Diablo are now on battle.net. And pre-orders for the Wrathion statue have been cancelled.
Finally, we look back at episode #158 when people were still running Heroic visions.

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW
Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW
We finally sink our teeth into Andromeda, evaluate the systems and try to determine who is the Jenkins.
Jinx update, Guilty Gear Strive 3v3 2nd beta, Capcom Cup XII announcement, new characters in Multiversus.
Its been a busy few weeks: Brutosaurs, anniversaries, documentaries, patch announcements, and more!
A reasonably timely episode about the upcoming 7.1 patch and second Live Letter for it, and other things.
