Farewell Battle for Azeroth, Hello Shadowlands!
We say farewell to Battle for Azeroth and Welcome Shadowlands as we look back on one of Blizzard's more polarizing expansions. Also, we talk about the new cinematics and discuss borrowed power....
Nick, Rei, Eric, and Harv are back to talk about the latest goings on in the World of Warcraft! First, Rei talks about raiding with podcast listener Ramius and then discusses how the end of expansion raiding will work leading into Shadowlands. Nick then asks her about her covenant of choice. Eric then talks about leveling his warlock which leads to a chat about how warlock has performed and when the best time to play warlock was. Harv then chimes in with his issues trying to uninstall the beta that lead to him completely uninstalling and reinstalling all of his WoW install, and how he had 47 add-ons that he lost. (Although he doesn’t need to reinstall all of them.)
Harv then mentions how he was upset by the new Shadowlands release date of 11/23 since that is a bad week for him to play. Nick then goes into some comments that Adam from DBM and Ion made on twitter about how Blizzard isn’t entirely happy with the release date either but really it was the only option for them to release it. Nick admits that prior speculation about Blizzard trying to get people to remember the company of old was incorrect and unfounded. They also talk about the Castle Nathria release date on 12/8.
In the news, AMD featured WoW in a Radeon RX 6000 demo video. Shadowlands pre-sales are the highest of any WoW expansion, and could bode well for sales of the expansion itself. The WoW 16th anniversary celebration is going on now, with mostly a repeat of events from last year. And Blizzard announced that they will no longer allow players to use input-mirroring software that enables multi-boxing.
In other Blizzard news, Activision-Blizzard needs to hire about 2,000 people across various franchises. The World of Warcraft: Comic Collection Volume One is on sale and Steve Danuser solved a possible lore retcon that irritates Nick. BlizzConLine will be free. And David Kim has moved from Diablo IV to Principal Game Designer for WoW.
Our question(s) of the week for next week are: What Covenant are you choosing? and Have you see a cow?
Looking back at episode #71, we review or memories of 2016 and look at some predictions made for 2017.

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW
Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW
Chris has been playing World of Warcraft since 2007. When he's not playing his hunter in Azeroth, he's probably playing one of his many alt hunters. If not doing that, he's probably playing a different hunter.
We finally sink our teeth into Andromeda, evaluate the systems and try to determine who is the Jenkins.
Jinx update, Guilty Gear Strive 3v3 2nd beta, Capcom Cup XII announcement, new characters in Multiversus.
Its been a busy few weeks: Brutosaurs, anniversaries, documentaries, patch announcements, and more!
A reasonably timely episode about the upcoming 7.1 patch and second Live Letter for it, and other things.
