Blizzard's Emotional Roller Coaster
The BfA pre-launch story has been an emotional roller coaster lately....
Patch 8.0 is here and that’s all anyone can talk about! Nick jokes about the servers being down on Tuesday and then everyone starts sharing their experiences. First, we talk about our efforts at completing the content that was going away. Rei wasn’t able to get Field Medic, but she did get her elemental shaman mage tower. Harv did some hunter mage towers and Eric did them for his DK. Nick goes in depth about his efforts on his Outlaw Rogue, because that was the only spec he liked. Then, Rei, Eric, and Harv talk about running Heroic Antorus after the patch and subsequently getting beat down. Eric complains a little about the stat squish and expresses his overall disappointment with Patch 8.0.
The gang then talks about the availability of Legendaries and Nick laments that they way they were handled was the one problem with Legion. Eric agrees. Nick mentions a reddit post that suggested that the legendary and artifact abilities that were lost should have been a new row of talents. Nick and Harv talk briefly about the loss of Hati for Beastmaster Hunters, and agree that it was anti-climactic to log in and have your artifact depowered without anything further happening.
Rei and Nick talk a little about changes to guild management, although neither has had the chance to play it much. Nick was excited to log in and get his honor applied across all his characters for the PVP appearances.
Nick asks when everyone feels that Legion ends and BfA starts. Eric sums it up best that we are in a purgatory between expansions.
In the news recently, Ion and Josh did a Dev Q&A addressed questions from the pre-patch. Also, WoW was recently highlighted in three gaming articles. Nick summarizes them and complains about them. Finally, there are animated shorts coming for Jaina, Sylvanas, and Azshara.
Nick then looks back at episode #12 and talks about beta opening for Warlords of Draenor and some correct predictions we were able to make at the time. Also, Azeroth Choppers is finally over and we had news about the Warcraft movie.

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW
Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW
The Virtua Fighter Project, Clive in Tekken 8, more GG Strive Balanace Incoming, and FGC Tournament Standards
Siren's Isle is upon us! Come take the Patch 11.0.7 quiz to see how prepared you are! Also, Eric hates PUGs.
We talk about what's going on with the Felcycles, and we've been playing some Mythic+ and Classic. And The Old Republic?
A heaping helping of banter mixed in with reviewing the level 93 trial of Dawntrail's MSQ. Also candy discourse.
