Final Fantasy XI Ultimate Collection Abyssea Edition Coming May 16

Personally, we would have gone with Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Edition.

Final Fantasy XI Ultimate Collection Abyssea Edition

In two and a half weeks, MMO fans will get access to an all-inclusive version of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XI. FFXI: Ultimate Collection Abyssea Edition will contain every single piece of content released to date for the nine year old MMORPG. The ludicrously titled Abyssea releases world-wide for PC on May 16 as a $19.99 download.

The game’s four expansion packs — Rise of the Zilart, Chains of the Promathia, Treasures of Aht Uhrgan and Wings of the Goddess — will be included. Each of the add-on scenarios are packed in as well. This means that buyers will be treated to: A Crystalline Prophecy – Ode of Life Bestowing, A Moogle Kupo d’Etat – Evil in Small Doses, and A Shantotto Ascension® – The Legend Torn, Her Empire Born. Not content to stop there, Square Enix is also giving players the add-on battle areas of Vision of Abyssea, Scars of Abyssea and Heroes of Abyssea.

Finally, those who buy Abyssea will receive the Destrier Beret. This item is “loaded with bonuses to help new players get started, while also giving their characters an enviable article of clothing.” So get ready to cough up twenty bucks if you don’t want the cool kids with name brand outfits laughing at your outdated wardrobe.
