Although no one seems to be sure exactly when the Nintendo E-Shop will officially launch (Nintedo’s site says late May), it’s no surprise that people everywhere have grown a little restless while waiting. Fortunately, good news about this new program has been seeping out about it pretty constantly. The store will specialize in remakes (and probably ports too) of games old and new. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past was said by Shigeru Miyamoto to be a game he’d like to see remade for the shop.
Just confirmed as a launch title for the new shop is Megaman Legends 3: Prototype Version which will give E-Shop goers a chance to experience the upcoming game ahead of time. Reminiscent of a beta of sorts, the game will also let players meet a new character, Barret (leader of a gang of sky bikers). Completing the core missions will allow you to access areas that are unfinished, as well as gain access to new abilities. When you are done playing this prototype, you can go here and express your thoughts and ideas. Not only that, but you can interact with the development team and see what goes into developing a game. Sounds like a pretty cool thing to do while waiting for the full game. Check it out!
