Activision Formally Announces Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD

Because skating in SD is for chumps.

Publisher Activision made it officially official today: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD is coming this summer and will be available “only on leading consoles’ networks.” Specific platforms were not announced, but it’s a safe bet that the digital title is headed to the PSN and XBLA seeing as those are the only consoles (plural) that output in HD. It took our staff of investigative journalists hours to crack that code, but it was all worth it to bring you such next level info. You’re welcome.

Hawk himself acknowledged the game last week, first on his Twitter account and then at the VGAs on Saturday. The extreme sports title will consist of throwback levels from the first two Tony Hawk releases in high-definition. Activision plans to charge $15 for the download.
