The upcoming action-RPG Dragon’s Dogma isn’t exactly a household name here in the States, but Capcom is certainly looking to make it just a little more well-known. After the official confirmation of Resident Evil 6 a couple weeks ago, the next installment in everyone’s favorite zombie-killing franchise (aside from Left 4 Dead) has been getting quite a bit of buzz. Well, how much would you pay to play a demo of this year’s home console-released Resident Evil? $10? $30? What do you mean demos are supposed to be free?
In order to get at least a few people looking at Dragon’s Dogma, Capcom is planning on bundling an exclusive Resident Evil 6 demo voucher inside every copy when it releases this May. Said demo will become available for download in July for 360 owners and September for PS3 owners. Whether this move will upset the series’ fans is anyone’s guess as of this time (although all answers point to ‘yes’). But we do know that Dragon’s Dogma will likely garner far more attention with the demo than without.
