We kick off with a look at this week’s news as Blizzard sees a major leadership change and potential sponsor departures in the wake of their recent harassment lawsuit. We talk about the new heads of Blizzard Jen Oneal and Mike Ybarra, their previous experience in the gaming world and the response of Blizzard employees to the change. We also talk about the recent wave of Overwatch League and Call of Duty League sponsors pulling advertisements from league broadcasts, it’s effect on the present and future of the league.
We move on to our recap Week 17 in the Overwatch League as teams battle to lock down knockout seeding. We highlight the biggest plays and player performances from each matchup and discuss the potential knockout seeding as we head towards the Countdown Cup. We wrap up with a preview of next week’s games, where we discuss what matches we’re most excited to watch and make our predictions for the final 4 teams that’ll make the trip to Hawaii.
