With Grand Finals in the books, Ramses and LoBosco take a look at all of this weekend’s events and notable news. We discuss the event’s festivities, including Zedd’s excellent musical performance, and what listeners could expect from follow up acts. We also break down the championship match itself, analyzing the teams’ performances, player by player. We discuss the important plays and strategies from each team, and how the Shock put on such a dominant performance. We also talk about what their victory means for the league as a whole, and what to expect from these teams in season 3.
Next, we do a brief roundup of this week’s news. This week saw some significant coaching changes, as Shanghai hired Moon, former head coach of LA Valiant and Team CC, and the Washington Justice released their entire coaching roster. We talk about the thought behind each of these decisions, and how each team stads to benefit from the change. We also drop some F’s in the chat for some particularly unfortunate technical issues during Grand Finals, and add American Airlines to the boycott list over their treatment of Flex Support Ryujehong.
Lastly, we thank our listeners for their listenership and support of the show throughout Season 2 of OWL, and tease some potential changes to come. We talk about what listeners can expect from the show during the offseason, some particular topics we are eager to cover, and discuss some changes coming to Push the Point in the near future.
