It’s a busy week in the Overwatch League with tons of news to cover, a week of games to recap, and some pretty big announcements on the horizon! We start with a breakdown of this week’s news, including some recent player movement with the Toronto Defiant and the Paris Eternal, and a new streamer signing from the Florida Mayhem. We also cover the new Lonestar Showdown series between the Dallas Fuel and the Houston Outlaws and cover a pretty awesome interaction between pop star Halsey and LA Valiant offtank McGravy.

Next we cover this week’s games as strong teams falter in the eastern region and others gain steam in the west. We talk about the Seoul Dynasty’s continued struggle outside of double shield comps, and the Shanghai Dragons’ near dominance of the region. We also talk about the balance of power in NA, as Paris Eternal and Philadelphia Fusion continue to look strong, and the San Francisco Shock surge on despite some pretty huge setbacks this week. We go on to cover different teams’ approaches to Echo play in her debut week, and form a rough list of the best Echo specialists in the league so far.

Next we preview the Week 14 games, as teams fight for placements in the upcoming May Tournament. We talk about our most anticipated matchups, and what compositions we are likely to see this weekend. We also break down the recent adjustments to hero pools, which are now decided through OWL play, and talk about this week’s hero bans. Lastly, we break down a major announcement from League VP Jon Spector addressing the state of the League, player retirements, viewership, T2, and more, and discuss what we truly think this means for the League going forward.
