We’re joined by Deathblow, host of the High Noon podcast and Overwatch content creator, to discuss everything going on this week in pro-Overwatch. We begin with an overview of DB’s time covering the competitive scene, stretching all the way back to Monthly Melee’s and similar events. He gives his take on how the professional scene and player expectations have adapted in the game’s lifetime, and how team roles have completely transformed. DB also gives us his thoughts on the current crop of League players and stars, as well as players he’s most enjoyed watching in 2020. He and Ramses also discuss their shared frustration as Houston Outlaws fans, and speculate on what needs to change to firmly push the team in the right direction.

Next, we go over all of the biggest news stories from around the League, starting with the Shock’s pickup of Casores (formerly of the Atlanta Reign and Young & Beautiful) for an analyst position. We talk about Casores’ reputation in the scene and recent performances, as well as the purpose he may have with the Shock for the forseeable future. We move on to excellent news of former hitscan star Pine’s return to competitive Overwatch after a near 1 year hiatus. Sporting a history of unbelievable plays and an incredible skill ceiling, this free agent could make a pretty big splash in the player market. From there we move on to more news about the Shock, including the recent unveiling of their 2019 championship rings and their PC scrimming situation as they currently undergo quarantine before Grand Finals. We also go over a pretty big coaching overhaul from the Chengdu Hunters, as former Head Coach RUI returns from a year of absence, and the current coaching staff parts ways with the team. We conclude with exstensive coverage of the upcoming All Stars Weekends in NA and APAC. We break down each individual event and its participants, as well as the overall 2020 All Stars rosters. We also give brief coverage for the Talent Takedown, and make our predictions on the winners of each event.
