This week, we’re holding the first ever Pointey Awards, where give honors to the teams and players that don’t fit within the MVP, Rookie of the Year, and similar awards races. We highlight some of the season’s splashiest players (Most Exciting, Most Surprising) as well as some of the year’s biggest disasters (Biggest Letdown, Worst Meltdown, Missing in Action). We also take time to give honors to players quietly dominating the league (Unsung Hero) or who have overcome past obstacles to breathe new life into their Overwatch careers (Comeback Player, Most Improved, Golden Geezer). It’s a great time celebrating the highs and lows of the 2020 season. We wrap up with another brief preview of the coming Season playoffs, looking at the known Round 1 Matchups. We give our picks for winners and losers, and speculate on a potential dark horse in this weekend’s NA Bracket games.
