Allied Races, Professions, and Hunter Concerns
The gang discusses allied races, the death of first aid, and hunter pet changes....
Welcome to WoW! Talk! Number 100! Nick is in a good mood because we recorded this immediately after the Eagles won the Super Bowl. Rei and Eric talk about raiding for a bit, and Nick mentions that he’s happy he’s had time to play Warcraft during the day for a bit.
Nick then goes into the history of WoW! Talk!, talking about how he and Rei came to join Mash Those Buttons, and how WoW! Talk! started as Mashcraft #0. They also talk about why Jeremy is no longer on the show. Nick then shares a bit from Mashcraft #0, which was recorded right after patch 5.4 went live. He finds it funny that the Timeless Isle was so fresh and new, knowing just how stale and familiar it would become. He also impressively predicted a 13 month content drought, which is roughly what we experienced. Nick says that if Legion can hold to having a short content drought (which it looks like it will do), then that alone should give it the title of best expansion. We will have to see.
The discussion transitions into talk about Battle for Azeroth, with mild spoilers from the datamining. Nick is excited for all the new models and Eric is excited with some of the class changes. They also talk about the Q&A and how pre-orders are now live and with them comes access to the Allied Races. Nick is waiting for the physical collector’s edition to become available, which means he will have to wait until the expansion launches to have access to the Allied Races. They also discuss the changes to the recruit-a-friend experience buff, and Nick says that its fine and the people complaining were the people misusing the buff to level alts (like Eric.) Nick then also complains about people who were unhappy that gnomes, goblins, and pandaren were left out of some of the BfA promotional artwork that was based on the cinematic.

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW
Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW
We finally sink our teeth into Andromeda, evaluate the systems and try to determine who is the Jenkins.
Jinx update, Guilty Gear Strive 3v3 2nd beta, Capcom Cup XII announcement, new characters in Multiversus.
Its been a busy few weeks: Brutosaurs, anniversaries, documentaries, patch announcements, and more!
A reasonably timely episode about the upcoming 7.1 patch and second Live Letter for it, and other things.
