Torghast, Valid Valor Points, and the BlizzConline Schedule
The Torghast struggle is real, its a valid point that valor points are coming back, and the BlizzConline schedule is too tight for holes, or is it? Also, the death of Thrall???...
Nick, Rei, Eric, and Harv are back to talk about the latest World of Warcraft news! But first, Rei talks about running through Torghast, and is happy that Torghast progress now applies to alts. Eric, meanwhile, is enjoying Torghast a little more, but has grown so used to the extra power that doing stuff outside of Torghast feels slow and weak. Nick brings up a reddit video of a Rogue defeating Twisting Corridors with the assistance of the Terragrue. Eric then talks about defeating the Sun King boss in Castle Nathria. Harv hasn’t played much WoW lately, but Nick stepped into Nathria LFR and talks about the mechanics heavy first fight and then leads a discussion about the Blood Council fight with the dancing mechanic, and wonders whether that was necessary or not.
In the news, Blizzard has officially starting hyping BlizzConline. Nick reviews some of the information announced, including that on 2/19 there will be six three hour streams starting at 2 pm PST. On 2/20, there will be multiple streams starting at 12:00 pm focusing on the Community. The gang considers what those six streams could be on the first day, given that Starcraft probably won’t justify a full streams of its own, if at all.
They also review the Celebration Collection which, at various tiers, allows players to purchase a mount, a pet, and game time for WoW, in addition to items for other games. Nick says that if you only play WoW, the Epic Edition probably is not worth it.
They also briefly mention that Vicarious Visions was absorbed into Blizzard. Also, they quickly go over the Diversity hire issue between the AFL-CIO and Activision-Blizzard, with Nick pointing out that Blizzard generally has a fairly diverse employee base.
Next week’s question of the week is What are you looking forward to at BlizzConline?
Finally, they look back at episode #77 when Nick observed that he cares more about his character’s ilvl than he does his own lawn.

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW
Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW
Chris has been playing World of Warcraft since 2007. When he's not playing his hunter in Azeroth, he's probably playing one of his many alt hunters. If not doing that, he's probably playing a different hunter.
Chip does not think highly of Alec Ryder's decision making skills. And have we found our Kaiden and Ashley?
Blazzinbob welcomes guests NoHitJerome, EbonHardt, and HelloJTello!
MK1 Ghostface gameplay, Capcom Cup XI qualified players, Guilty Gear Strive patch, and fighting game standards.
We finally sink our teeth into Andromeda, evaluate the systems and try to determine who is the Jenkins.
