Is WoW in Danger?
Rei is prepared, Eric is raiding, Harv wants gnome paladins, and Nick is worried....
Nick, Rei, Eric, and Harv are back to talk about the latest going on in the World of Warcraft! First, Rei talks about discovering more functionality in Warcraft logs that leads to some John Madden jokes. Then, she talks about the struggles of people trying to farm mats and advises they use the mission table for its easy materials. She also talks a bit about the communication required in a guild. Eric mentions that Order of Corrupted Souls is working through Heroic Castle Nathria and progressing just fine. Harv, meanwhile, finally found time to play and had a three hours session where he realizes he hates the Maw. Nick points out that the Maw is designed to be annoying, but they question whether it is fun-frustrating or annoying-frustrating.
Nick talks about recent chatter about people hating Mythic+, and goes into how the problem is that Mythic+ is not designed for PUGs, but people keep pugging it anyway and then complaining that the experience is sub-optimal. He talks about how this isn’t strictly a game design problem, but Blizzard has to figure out how to make sure their game is used in the way it is intended. He goes on to talk about how this doesn’t help with the perception of sub-optimal specs and Covenenant choices, and suggests Blizzard should field a world first raid team entirely made up of the worst performing specs, so players can see that any class can be viable.
In the news, May 18th may be when the Burning Crusade Classic Pre-Patch is coming. For retail, Blizzard issued a statement clarifying the Valor points cap, which Harv and Eric agree means they need to simplify some of these systems. Blizzard removed some boosted Chinese guilds from the Hall of Fame for Castle Nathria after they were caught using RMT. Also, the secret battle pet Courage was finally discovered. And Blizzard is hiring for an unannounced project.
This week’s question of the week is if you pug and how do you think the experience could be better?
Finally, Nick looks back 100 episodes ago at episode #80.

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW
Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW
Chris has been playing World of Warcraft since 2007. When he's not playing his hunter in Azeroth, he's probably playing one of his many alt hunters. If not doing that, he's probably playing a different hunter.
Chip does not think highly of Alec Ryder's decision making skills. And have we found our Kaiden and Ashley?
Blazzinbob welcomes guests NoHitJerome, EbonHardt, and HelloJTello!
MK1 Ghostface gameplay, Capcom Cup XI qualified players, Guilty Gear Strive patch, and fighting game standards.
We finally sink our teeth into Andromeda, evaluate the systems and try to determine who is the Jenkins.
