Live Blizzcon Recap Special!
Blizzcon weekend was an absolute blast! @Ramses_OW and @LoBosco finally meet up again in person to discuss the weekend's events, Overwatch 2, and the World Cup results in a special live episode....
With Blizzcon approaching, the roster moves just keep coming! This week, Ramses and LoBosco are joined by LemonKiwi, Contenders caster and Content Manager for Elo Hell Dante! We begin by discussing her introduction to gaming and to Overwatch, what attracted her to the game, and how she made the switch from Call of Duty. Lemon shares some of her favorite moments casting Overwatch, and the group discusses their anticipation and expectations for the 2019 Overwatch World Cup at Blizzcon. We also discuss LemonKiwi’s role with Elo Hell Dante, an open division team ran by Elo Hell, and her role as content manager. We discuss the impact of professionalism coaching for young players, and the greater impact the team hopes to have on semi-pro esports.
Next, we discuss this week’s plethora of roster moves, including massive overhauls by the London Spitfire, Los Angeles Valiant, and the Paris Eternal. As many teams begin locking in key players, we talk about how these major player transfers will affect team standings and perceptions, as many teams pursue different scouting strategies. We also discuss recent rumors surrounding potential signings and transfers, as many players are predicted to leave for new homes.
We also discuss the coming Blizzcon festivities, primarily in the leaked announcement of a new Overwatch title. We discuss the announcement’s reported features, how they change the future of the Overwatch League, and how they stand to affect the game itself. We also make some personal predictions for the World Cup, and drop some F’s in the Chat for Blizzard’s continued delay in paying Contenders players.
