This week’s episode comes to you live from a hotel room in Anaheim, California, as Ramses and Lobosco recover together from Blizzcon’s festivities, announcements, and copious partying. We talk about our favorite news from the weekend’s announcements, friends we got to see, and the good times had together.

We discuss Blizzard’s reveal of Overwatch 2, confirming the recent links from Slasher and ESPN. We talk about what we’re excited about from the game’s PvE expansion and what it could do to boost the long term health of the franchise. We also discuss how the game’s improvements will affect the Overwatch League in Season 3, as well more OWL news heard throughout the weekend. There’s even some discussion about Overwatch’s slowing development cycle and how it could affect player base.

Next, we discuss the results of the 2019 World Cup tournament. We recap Team USA’s journey to the gold medal, as well as the fates of other notable teams. We also discuss some of the breakout performances of this year’s tournament, which rookies could land an academy spot, and the specific performances/strategies that brought Team USA the win. Afterwards, we talk about the decline in production quality of the OWWC and Blizzard’s dilemma with the tournament’s production.

Lastly, we drop some F’s in the chat for a visit from a famous rodent, and we discuss our favorite moments of Blizzcon 2019.
