Contenders Chaos MEGA-SODE w/ Blevins!
This week, we're joined by the one, the only, @The_Blevins to discuss this week's player moves, Contenders philosophy shifts, player retirements, and more. The news never stops! ...
With Thanksgiving over and Christmas on the horizon, its time for a fireside chat with Ramses and LoBosco to discuss this week’s news and storylines. We begin by talking about the recent news regarding the signing of noted streamer ChipSa to the Philadelphia Fusion. We discuss the varying perspectives on the move, and how the controversial decision may actually make sense for Philadelphia in season 3. We also discuss the Vancouver Titans finally announcing the signings of Fissure and Ryujehong, as well as their release of Bumper. Is individual skill worth the loss in team synergy? We go on to talk about the rest of this week’s signings and what they may mean for the rest of the league.
We also discuss NLaaeR’s public frustration with the Overwatch League’s free agency system, announced in his retirement announcement. We discuss what the lack of players’ union and honest team negotiations does for a player’s free agency chances and what needs to change to fix the situation. We also talk about the “Leftover” players still looking for a chance in the Overwatch League and highlight some former OWL talent that deserves a 2nd chance.
