Lots of news to cover this episode as the regular season approaches its end and the League provides more information for Season 4. We begin with the recent announcement of new rules regarding player contracts for the 2020 playoffs and 2021 season. These changes see a dramatic shift of power to owners and management, but may open up possibilities for more regular player pickups and promotion. We also see a new update on former Fuel DPS star Decay, as he moves to the Washington Justice just before the trade deadline expires. We speculate on his reasons for joining the squad, as well as the Justice’s chances going forward. Lastly, we look at the recent Grand Finals Weekend announcement and preview the weekend’s layout, while also looking at the recent OWL All stars weekend announcement.
We move onto our game recap, beginning with a run through of the APAC bracket. We look at a strong performance from the Spark, as well as a disappointing slump from the Charge. We go into what lies ahead for both of these squads, and what their playoff picture looks like. We give a brief coverage of the Finals shutout from a dominant Shanghai Dragons team and discuss the potential APAC playoff standings.
From here we go on to this week’s games, as teams jockey for favorable playoff seeding during the Regular Season’s final days. We highlight our favorite plays, standout player performances, and key impact moments from each of this weekend’s games, and speculate on what we can expect from the last week of season play.
We conclude with a brief preview of next week’s games as teams wrap up their regular seasons. We also look at the current MVP standings, and give our individual Top 3 contenders.
