Developer Interview with Brian Birmingham
Bob and Mel get the pleasure of talking with one of the lead software engineers for Classic Wow, Brian Birmingham!...
We start off the episode hearing from the community with a couple voicemails! We have a great discussion sparked on the server queues, server balance, and how things have been going. We then discuss how our weeks have been going and what we have been doing during the pre-patch.
We start with the discussion this week. We discuss our thoughts on each major change in Cataclysm Classic. We touch on the new zones, dungeons, and raids as we share our thoughts on the increased difficultly level as well as the favorite and least favorite raids. We go on to discuss profession changes including the addition of archeology and the guild advancement system. We then touch on some quality-of-life changes including user interface changes, the dungeon journal, AOE looting, and account wide mounts/pets. We briefly discuss the PVP changes but all agree rated battlegrounds are a great addition! We wrap up the discussion with some more controversial topics including raid finder, unified raid lockouts, and transmogrification.
We wrap up the episode with a couple pieces of news including the change to be able to queue for battleground from anywhere and the global release times for Wrath of the Lich King!
