As the Winter Wonderland holiday event ends, Blizzard decides to give the Overwatch community a gift by finally releasing Oasis — their newest King of the Hill map. It shouldn’t be too surprising, however, since Blizzard did say they were aiming for an early 2017 release. Can’t get much earlier than this. While both Jaa and Mikey are happy to get the new map, Jaa isn’t sure that the complexity of the map will truly be appreciated by the community. Oasis is probably Overwatch’s most complex (and beautiful) map to date. We are hoping the community can adjust to it.
There is a lack of news, so on this episode we are focusing on the Overwatch solo experience. It’s no secret that Overwatch is can be a VERY frustrating game to play alone. Lack of cooperation, trolls, and more add to the frustration. Blizzard can take steps to help with this, and that’s what we discuss. We also talk about why there are no reporting options on console, and we also discuss the Mei glitch that’s getting heavy use in 3v3 elimination.
Jarret is Executive Director as well as one of the founding members of Mash Those Buttons. He plays all types of games, but tends to lean more toward FPS, Stealth, and Combat games.
Mikey has been playing fighting games since he could reach the arcade stick and buttons. While not be ever being tournament ready he strives to do better. Loves pure action games and enjoying bonkers jrpgs. He's just you're average gaymer.
We discuss the Evo 2025 lineup, go over the Evo Awards categories and nominations, discuss DLC characters incoming for a few games, and get hyped over the Virtua Fighter tech demo..
This week we return to Eos where there's Kett, a place named Advent, children in one form or another, and an Architect!
We continue our slow tour through the Dawntrial story, and also have some fun chaotic commentary.
We welcome 2025 with some fresh patch notes for 11.1! Also, there are bugs on Siren's Isle!
