Harvcore Stories (feat. Harv)

Happy Anniversary to us! This week Nick, Rei, Eric, and Kurabara celebrate 10 years of WoW! Talk! by welcoming Harv back to the show to chat about what he’s been doing in Hardcore Classic WoW. But first, Rei talks about what she’s been doing in game. Rei talks about doing the Secret Hunting to earn Patty the Alpaca. She also talks about getting the Alliance motorcycle mount from Azeroth Choppers and also getting the Seagull mount via a Time Rift.

Eric meanwhile has been practicing tanking on his guardian druid in normal Aberrus. He is trying to figure out what to main in 10.2.

Kura talks about gearing up his evoker and how he was fixing his stat outlay.

Then Harv returns to talk about his experiences in Classic WoW. He talks about some of the streams he’s seen with all the ways that people have died and also all the ways that people are avoiding death. He talks about using engineering to keep training dummies available to distract mobs, and also how to use the logout-unstuck command to navigate certain spots in hardcore WoW. He also talks about avoiding caves and other strategies not to die. They talk about how the average level of player death in hardcore classic WOW is level 9.

In the news, they talk about the return of the Turbulent Timeways event and the Sandy Shalewing. Nick also talks about how the CMA in the UK looks ready to approve the Microsoft buyout of Activision-Blizzard, so we can expect that to happen in October ahead of Blizzcon.

Finally, the gang takes a quick look back at episode #147, which also involved alpacas and featured patch 8.3 hitting the PTR.
