We’ve hit the time of year where (American) football games are played right up until recording time, and as a result they wind up dominating the banter in the early part of the show. Apologies, but it will happen again next episode as it will be recorded right after the Super Bowl (as has been done before.) Maybe we’ll adjust our recording schedule next year.

Anyway, after talking about the Patriots and Rams victories, Nick brings up Bungie leaving Activision. He talks about how people hope that Blizzard would do the same, and how he even tweeted it sarcastically with no sign that he was being sarcastic. Best wishes to Bungie as they journey out on their own and reclaim their Destiny.

Finally, Nick asks Rei, Eric, and Harv what they’ve been up to in game. They talk about being excited to raid in Dazar’Alor and Harv mentions that he’s playing the game more in preparation. Nick talks about his experiences finally completing Uldir LFR, and learning how to be an orb runner.

We received two emails this week. First, from Criostior laughing at Harv for being upset about having to play a troll in the coming raid. Then, Nick shared an email he got about the old Vomiting on the Lich King episode (#84) asking about looking into an article feeling nauseated. Thank you Criostior for the email!

In the first topic, Nick talks about holiday items being restricted to their respective holiday time frames. Everyone agrees this is disappointing. Nick posits this means changes for the holidays are in store.

Next, Nick brings up Mike Morhaime leaving. He talks about how people are concerned that his is more of Activision’s heavy handed involvement, but Nick is pretty sure its just normal business practice.

Nick also brings up the Blizzard party at Disneyland. He thinks that many of the critical streamers should be calling out Blizzard for wasting money, but maybe the fact that they are is a good sign that Activision doesn’t have total control. He also says that the Blizzard employees deserve the reward.

The gang goes over the changes coming in Season 2 of BfA, that starts with the raid. They also look at some of the changes that have been datamined as part of the 8.1.5 PTR, which will not be live with the raid. There were changes announced to the Arena and MDI championships, and they talk about supporting PVP through store pets.

Finally, they look back at episode #24. They talk about Rei’s madden curse comment, and revisit the idea of Khadgar being Medivh.

Hosts

Nick Zielenkievicz

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.

Rei Liou

Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW

Eric Knutson

Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW

Christopher Greer

Chris has been playing World of Warcraft since 2007. When he's not playing his hunter in Azeroth, he's probably playing one of his many alt hunters. If not doing that, he's probably playing a different hunter.
