Goodbye Smaller, Second Thok
Nick and Rei may be sick but they are here to alleviate your concerns about BfA....
Blizzcon week is here!!! Feel the hype! But first, the gang talks about what they’ve been up to in game. Rei and Eric have Kil’jaeden down to 2% on heroic. They’ve also been running Mythic +12 dungeons. Nick meanwhile finally has his Blood DK hidden artifact appearance and started a monk which he is finding to be underwhelming. His damage seems low and the quest markers in the Monk class hall can be hard to see.
Lokitr left a comment on the last episode about how blacksmithing’s first mount was available with Legion. Nick now wants this mount and Eric mentions how it is not bind–on-pickup so it can be crafted and shared with anyone. They then run down the list of professions that still need a mount. Thanks to Lokitr for the comment. Futher comments can be left on the show pages at mashthosebuttons.com.
With Blizzcon coming up, the gang looks over the latest Blizzcon news. Muse is the closing act, and Chris Hardwick will host the talent show. Nick expects Muse to put on a good show. He also praises the return of Chris Hardwick. The Blizzcon schedule was also released. Nick is surprised by the amount of Diablo content and disappointed with the open gaps for Blizzard to talk about a new franchise.
The next WoW expansion is coming and there has been news related to that. “Before the Storm” is Christie Golden’s new book that will be released on 5/15. Nick uses that date to anticipate the new expansion to land between June and November of next year. He also says that it would be nice if Blizzard held the Antorus raid a little longer to reduce the time it needs to carry the game while the new expansion is in development.
Sub-races have been datamined and the gang discusses if it would be worth it to play them. Nick is most excited for Highountain Tauren. Eric talks about how draenai relate to his fascination with The Fast & the Furious.
In the news, the beta servers have been updated to the 8.0 version, and Warcraft III and Diablo II are appearing in the battle.net launcher beta version.
Thank you for listening to WoW! Talk! #93! Enjoy Blizzcon!
Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW
Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW
A heaping helping of banter mixed in with reviewing the level 93 trial of Dawntrail's MSQ. Also candy discourse.
The gang deals with raditation and Kett as they explore Eos. Stay in the protected zones and watch out for the FIEND!
Mai's Street Fighter 6 debut, Tekken 8's winter update, KOF XV character reveals, and our predictions for the fighting game lineup in 2025.
We explore the sleek new Tempest and start to get to know the crew, a little too well in some cases!
