A discussion on the Mythic Dungeon Invitational while Nick still hates Blingtron....
Nick, Rei, and Eric are here this week to talk about Patch 7.3, but first, Rei and Eric talk about defeating the Fallen Avatar to get up to normal-difficulty Kil’jaeden. Rei mentions getting a second legendary from a Blingtron, and Nick rants that Blingtron 5000’s should be outlawed because they force people to choose whether to loot them or not. Nick’s also been playing his warlock, and complains about the lackluster Warlock class campaign finale.
Patch 7.3 is on the PTR. Nick mentions some of the features, like Argus having three separate areas, with teleporters instead of flight points. There will be a new dungeon and a raid. Nick asks if the patch schedule feels too fast, and the group agrees that it has been pretty good, especially since Rei and Eric are managing to keep Order of Corrupted Souls ahead of the curve. Nick asks if there will be a Patch 7.4, and thinks that there will have to be if Blizzard wants to avoid a year long content drought again. This leads into rumors about the next expansion.
First, Shacknews (misidentified as Forbes on the show) had an article suggesting that Jaina’s turn as a Death Knight in the new Hearthstone expansion means that she could be a villain in the next expansion. Nick dismisses this out of hand because Hearthstone has no bearing on WoW lore. However, there were reports of Blizzard registering a trademark for “Return of the Lich King” (seemingly unsubstantiated), and Nick speculates whether that could be the next WoW expansion instead of Hearthstone. Finally, Nick mentions the Kul’tiras armor datamined from Patch 7.3, and wonders if the next expansion will be the open seas expansion that has been a long time coming. Kul’Tiras could explain Jaina’s absence, and Nick extrapolates from the spaceship command center that we will be using in patch 7.3, that perhaps we could get our own naval vessel in the next expansion. This brings up comparison to Skull & Bones, Sea of Thieves, and Assassin’s Creed.
The last topic is the struggles the World First race for Mythic Kil’jaeden. Exorsus and Method have been complaining that the fight is improperly tuned and buggy, and that they are doing Q&A for Blizzard. Meanwhile, Limit has been forced out of the race as several of their guild members have been banned for selling dungeon runs for real money.
Thank you for listening to this week’s WoW! Talk!
Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW
Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW
The Virtua Fighter Project, Clive in Tekken 8, more GG Strive Balanace Incoming, and FGC Tournament Standards
Siren's Isle is upon us! Come take the Patch 11.0.7 quiz to see how prepared you are! Also, Eric hates PUGs.
We talk about what's going on with the Felcycles, and we've been playing some Mythic+ and Classic. And The Old Republic?
A heaping helping of banter mixed in with reviewing the level 93 trial of Dawntrail's MSQ. Also candy discourse.
