Patch 7.3 Q&A, the WoW Token, and Jaina Key Art
Nick rants about the WoW Token and reaction to Jaina, but loves his artifacts....
Rei and Eric bring the good news that they have defeated normal Kil’jaeden and have started work on Heroic Tomb of Sargeras. They are also putting together a mythic+ dungeon group. Nick responds that he’s upset that he ran across a Blingtron 4000. He also has his DK PVP artifact appearance, and is struggling to get Marks of the Sentinax on his warlock. Everyone liked the Auction House Dance Party, although it was brief. Alisaunder emailed in to ask which Warcraft character will get credit for killing the boss at the end of the expansion. Rei and Eric said Illidan. Nick said a group including Illidan, Velen, and Khadgar.
Blizzard announced the Mythic Dungeon Invitational, and over the next two weeks, mythic dungeon teams can track their best runs and then submit them to Bilzzard to become eligible in a tournament with a $100,000 prize pool. 32 teams will be selected (8 from each region) to compete later this year. Good luck to all who try! Nick thinks this is a good way to advance WoW PVE content, since the World First Mythic Race has seen so many competitor’s vanish (congrats to Method on their world first Mythic Kil’jaeden, by the way.) This should hopefully keep interest in that kind of content alive.
A hearthstone update may have leaked an upcoming Appear Offline feature. Rei argues that this feature isn’t necessary because people should be honest with their guilds about their intention for playing online.
Nick found an article talking about how proc RNG works in Legion. Instead of having a x% chance to proc each time a proc-able event occurs, procs are now assigned like a deck of cards, and each attempt draws a card until the deck is exhausted and procs reshuffle. This prevents a run of bad luck, but also means that you can’t have a good run of procs, either.
Also in the news, Russell Brower is gone from Blizzard, Christie Golden is working on a new Warcraft novel, Chronicle Vol. III is available for pre-order, and news about the North American Arena Finals has been announced. All this and more on this week’s WoW! Talk!
Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW
Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW
We finally sink our teeth into Andromeda, evaluate the systems and try to determine who is the Jenkins.
Jinx update, Guilty Gear Strive 3v3 2nd beta, Capcom Cup XII announcement, new characters in Multiversus.
Its been a busy few weeks: Brutosaurs, anniversaries, documentaries, patch announcements, and more!
A reasonably timely episode about the upcoming 7.1 patch and second Live Letter for it, and other things.
