Episode #0 - 11/21/2004
Its the long-lost WoW! Talk! pilot from 2004 where the gang prepares to venture for the first time into Azeroth!...
On this week’s episode, the gang FCs Normal and trucks through Heroic, hitting the wall with Za’qul while getting help from a long lost PUG, Baelroth. Bael invites Rei to his guilds’ Heroic run, getting removed without a word — apologies were PMed from Bael and one of his guildies, for their raid leader’s behavior. OoCS took a stroll through Classic WoW, successfully made the guild on day one, and chatted up on their experience in Classic versus when it was just WoW. M+ and Island Expeditions were thrown into the mix for the week along with people playing Classic.
In the news, Classic is all of the rage.
More realms have been added for NA and EU, as well as increasing the population capacity.
The Devs return as a group in Classic and talk about their work while playing.
An article is released on Ion Hazzikostas and his reflections of Classic and its development.
The group discusses add-ons, mainly ClassicLFG. Icy Veins released a statement of its existance and Blizzard posts that they will not be allowing this add-on into Classic. Rei asks Harv if something like that was around at the time as she didn’t use add-ons until WotLK.
We find that Eric, Harv, and Rei do not follower streamers as a whole and just know of Asmongold through other guildies. Maybe one day they will check him out and figure out why he has so many followers!
With the release of WoW Classic, Twitch hits 1.1M views and ~950K are from Classic alone.
Blizzard sues InstantFuns for a blatant copy from their Warcraft games called Glorious Saga and the game has been pulled.
Finally, they look back at Episode #40. Harv reminds us that we had a guest ( Katie ), leading into Blizzcon, Mannoroth was downed on Normal. Terky the Murloc pet in-game, the Pepe toy in-game and, the Pepe plush were released. Hallow’s End discussion leading into Eric only caring about the Coin of Many Faces. Jer talks about how he met Rei in Guild Wars. Patch 6.2.3 announcement let the Players know about Cataclysm Timewalking, the Infinite Timereaver mount, cross realm Mythic raiding, and the Grove Warden mount AKA “Friendship Moose”. Valor Points returned, making Nick pretty excited. Nick sneaks onto play Hearthstone and shirks raid night!
