Push The Point #34: Saving Private Bumper

November 12th, 2019

With Blizzcon in the rearview, its time to get caught up on all of the important offseason happenings! With the minimum roster deadline finally here, teams are signing players left and right, meaning there’s a ton for us to cover! This week, Ramses and LoBosco go through all of the moves team by team, discussing how the acquisitions and releases affect the specific team’s Season 3 outlook, what it means for the player, and what fans might expect in the 2020 season. We discuss the massive rebuilds from many of the league’s major franchises, including the Los Angeles Gladiators, Philadelphia Fusion, and the Toronto Defiant.

We also discuss the juciest, presently unconfirmed rumours making the social media rounds. We talk about the rumors’ massive potential impact on team compositions and league standings in Season 3, and talk about the sheer craziness of them possibly coming true. We cover how drastic changes could significantly alter team environments, and what we expect these teams to look like in 2020. Lastly, we drop some F’s in the chat for Florida Mayhem fans and the recent drama around ELO Hell Dante. We also discuss the thinning amount of available roster spots compared to OWL level talent, and speculate on the situation’s growth potential.

Hosts

Julian is an Overwatch podcaster and host of Push the Point. He's an avid fan of Disney movies, Star Wars, and losing SR points. You can typically find him watching/playing Overwatch, or watching Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

LoBosco is an esports broadcaster who has wandered his way over to podcasting. As if casting every chance he can wasn't enough, now he wants to talk about Overwatch League as much as he casts. You can hear him with Ramses on Push the Point.
