WoW! Talk! #182: The Anima Drought, TBC Beta, and the Battle.net Icon
Sire Denathrius is hard, the anima drought may be ending, and there's a new battle.net icon!...
Nick, Rei, Eric and Harv are back to talk about what’s going on in World of Warcraft! First, Rei admits she hasn’t been feeling well and that leads to Eric complaining about dishwashers. Rei also mentions that she and Eric did a mythic +11 Necrotic Wake with four seconds left on the clock and then watched some of the MDI competition. Eric also talks about pugging and struggling on Sire Denathrius. Harv has been playing little, but has been spending time in Burning Crusade classic.
Nick talks about the recent Blizzard departure of Jeff Kaplan and says that as an established veteran of the company, he was due to move on so this shouldn’t be a surprise.
The gang then talks about The Burning Crusade Classic beta, which has had some news recently. They talk about how attunements will work with the phased roll out and then talk about how the Chronoboon Displacer will allow you to store world buffs. Then they get into a discussion about the nature of classic and how it seems that Blizzard is going to keep adding servers for each expansion and debate if Warlords of Draenor classic will be worth it.
In the modern game, the gang talks about how Dungeon Score is coming as a clone of Raider.io, in a repeat of Gear Score being integrated to the game as ilvl. Also, Garrosh Hellscream himself is responsible for unlocking the pet sloth Daisy for the community as part of the Doctors without Borders charity drive.
In other news, Blizzard put up a post about phishing and they announced a Sylvanas novel to be released in November.
Thank you to Shantymangaming for answering last week’s question of the week about anima. This week’s question is how do you feel about the mission table going into patch 9.1?
Finally, the gang looks back 100 episodes to when patch 7.2.5 was imminent.

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW
Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW
Chris has been playing World of Warcraft since 2007. When he's not playing his hunter in Azeroth, he's probably playing one of his many alt hunters. If not doing that, he's probably playing a different hunter.
