Lots to do this week, as we cover all of Week 10’s OWL action and celebrate 1 year of the podcast! We begin with a recap of this week’s news, including an update on the Eternal’s star DPS Xzi, as well as a recap of the sweeping Contenders’ talent retirements. We talk about Overwatch’s current sustainability outlook for the Tier 2 scene, what to expect going forward, and discuss the remaining Academy teams in Contenders.
Next, we recap all of the Week 10 OWL matches. We highlight a huge weekend from the Houston Outlaws, as well as the slow resurgence of the Dallas Fuel. We break down this week’s most awesome performances, most important matches, and discuss this week’s most recent meta.
Lastly, we give our preview of the coming Week 11, and point the matches we’re most looking forward to. We talk about the new hero pool format and how it stands to affect OWL and ranked play. We also discuss our feelings on the state of Overwatch esports and celebrate 1 year and 60 episodes of Push the Point.
