Phase Two and the Randomness of Mounts

Nick, Rei, and Eric are back to talk about the state of WoW as Shadowlands comes to an end. Rei begins by talking about all the pugs she has been doing and all the guild members who have been applying or returning. She talks about how people need to be social in a guild to eventually become part of the community. She also talks about her attempt at getting the Veilstrider achievement and how its going to come down to the final week. She also mentions running the updated version of Uldaman and having to tank because everyone was either healing or DPSing as a Dracthyr.

Eric talks about playing his Dracthyr and discusses how the charge mechanic gives players choice just from within the framework of a single ability. He also talks about choosing a character to main in Dragonflight.

Nick brings up the recent increase in drop rate for several Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor rare mounts, like the Sha of Anger or Rukhmar. He talks about his experiences trying to get the mount, and then evaluates this in light of recent decisions by Blizzard to make the TCG Feldrake mount widely available, as well as the customization coming with the dragonriding mounts in Dragonflight. Everyone agrees that Blizzard should make mount acquisition after several farming attempts easier.

In the news, Titan Rune Dungeons are being added to Wrath Classic. Also, Christie Golden celebrated her birthday by releasing a short story about Wrathion. And Blizzard and NetEase are ending their partnership, so WoW and other Blizzard games will not be available in China starting next year.

Finally, we look back 100 episodes to when we were still running the Dazar’Alor raid.
