Phase Two and the Randomness of Mounts
We go over the new content in Phase Two of the pre-patch and talk about mount drop rates....
Nick, Rei, and Eric are back this week to talk about their reactions to Phase One of the Dragonflight Pre-patch and also the latest in World of Warcraft news!
First, Rei talks about Eric getting more mounts with minimal effort, as he tends to do. Then she gets into the recent UI changes and how she was struggling to make sure everything was where it needed to be. She also mentions that the new Profession interface is blocking her access to guild chat while crafting. She mentions reports that players are able to get their Dracthyr from 50-60 in about 5 hours on the beta. Then she talks more about her efforts to get Veilmaster and she and Nick share notes on completing the Stitchmasters quests.
Eric has been enjoying the warlock changes and talks about his Burn to Ashes build that he’s been playing. He also talks about setting up his M+, Single Target, and Multitarget layouts. This leads to a discussion about having to reset your talents with the return of talent trees.
Nick talks about how Blizzard has integrated Mount Drops from Twitch Streams, and mentions how to hype Dragonflight, Blizzard is offering mount and toy drops for watching approved streamers. For watching the Dragonflight launch, Blizzard will give out the Feldrake mount which was previously only available from the defunct Warcraft card game. This leads to a discussion of how Blizzard can control player behavior through offering certain items, and how Blizzard is trying to leverage this outside the game.
In the news, they talk about the recent #warcraftstory on twitter and the new 12-month subscription offer, which includes the giant murloc mount. They also mention Activision Blizzard firing Union leaders.
Finally, they look back at episode 124 when Harv was upset about having to play a troll.

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW
Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW
We finally sink our teeth into Andromeda, evaluate the systems and try to determine who is the Jenkins.
Jinx update, Guilty Gear Strive 3v3 2nd beta, Capcom Cup XII announcement, new characters in Multiversus.
Its been a busy few weeks: Brutosaurs, anniversaries, documentaries, patch announcements, and more!
A reasonably timely episode about the upcoming 7.1 patch and second Live Letter for it, and other things.
