An inevitability from the start, Blizzard has finally given some details on the upcoming Collector’s Edition of Diablo III. Blizzard fans who purchased last year’s Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty Collector’s Edition will be immediately familiar with the pack-ins for this limited edition (they are mirrored perfectly). Included in the as-of-yet not priced set is the following swag:
- Diablo III (how nice of them)
- 4 GB USB stick (modeled after a soulstone with a Diablo skull base) containing Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
- In-game content across multiple Blizzard games; including some cosmetic items for your Diablo III character, a new pet for WoW, and some new portraits for Starcraft II
- A blu-ray/dvd set containing behind-the-scenes materials for Diablo III
- Diablo III artbook
- Diablo III soundtrack
As was mentioned above, there is still no price listed for the Collector’s Edition. Judging from the fact that the contents within the set are almost identical with what was packed into Starcraft II‘s CE, we could easily be looking at a clean price point of $99.99. Again, this is only speculation; but I’d bet my own money on that being the final price.
